Bristol Balloon Festival
Bristol Fiesta started 30 years ago by Don Cameron, owner of the world's largest balloon manufacturer, Cameron Balloons.
It is today Europe's largest hot air balloon festival.
2008 was the 30th anniversary, with 500.000 visitors and with 100 balloons participanting.

The Oktoberfest in Munich started this weekend and lasts until Oktober 5th

This panorama is from last years festival.

Originally the Oktoberfest took place in Oktober and the first festival was held in 1810 to honor the Bavarian Crown Prince Ludwig’s marriage to Princess Therese von Sachsen-Hildburghausen.

The Model is Gary "Stretch" Turner who holds the Guinness Record for the world’s stretchiest skin.

City of Arts and Sciences - Valencia

The City of Arts and Sciences, in Valencia Spain is a large complex supported by the Valencia Regional Government.

The area covers 350,000 square metres which makes the centre the largest of it's kind in Europe.

It was designed by the famous Valencian architect Santiago Calatrava and Félix Candela.

August 8 - Today the Olympic Games in Beijing starts.

Since the beginnings of the modern Olympic Games the arranging countries have built Stadiums and Parks especially dedicated to the Games and to host the athletes. See some of them in this weeks collection of fullscreen panoramas.

Oleg Gaponyuk a photographer from Moscow is one of the more than 200 photographers participating in the last WorldWide Panorama event Elevation.

The panorama from New York is not his contribution to the event even if it very well illlustrates the theme Elevation. Oleg currently travels around the world doing panoramas and at the time for the Elevation event he was in Rio.
