CLIMBING OF DUFOURSPITZE

Dufourspitze is with 4634 m the highest top in Switzerland.
The mountain is named after Guillaume-Henri Dufour, a Swiss engineer and army officer who led the Sonderbund campaign.

The summit was first climbed 150 years ago by a party of Charles Hudson, J. Smyth, C. Smyth, E. Stephenson, John Birkbeck
