GOLDFIELD GHOST TOWN

In the 1890's Goldfield was a growing town based on the Mammoth Gold Mine.

It had 3 saloons, a boarding house, general store, blacksmith shop, brewery, meat market and a school house.

However the gold ore dropped and the town died even if several attempts was done to reopen the mines. In 1926 it finally died and became a ghost town.

Jürgen Schrader is a commercial photographer living in Bavaria, Germany.
He has specialised in panoramic photography and object movies. When he is not on an assignment for his clients he keeps looking around for unusual viewpoints and subjects that people usually would not be able or allowed to access.
In 2007 one of his favourite customers had sent him on a 8,000 km round trip through the southwest of the US to capture a series of high resolution panoramas for a simulator software. Some of the results are shown here.
