Red Army Monument in Sofia Bulgaria becomes superheroes

During last weekend the Soviet army monument in Sofia, Bulgaria was transformed into Pop Art by unknown graffiti artists.

The soldiers was transformed into Superman, Santa Claus, Ronald McDonald , Captain America, Batman's sidekick Robin, and Joker.

The new look drew lots of people to the place during the weekend who wanted to be photographed in front of it.

The old Soviet monument in honour of the Red Army's advance on Nazi-allied Bulgaria during World War II has long been a target for anti Russian and anti-communists in Bulgaria, who want it demolished as many other old soviet monuments has been in other countries.

The new look lasted for 4 days until early morning Tuesday when it had been cleaned up.
